Well..that depends! If you're feeling pulled toward birth work and can't really explain why, this is probably for you. The #1 most important thing that you need to be successful in this program is a willingness to put in the work. You don't need a healthcare background, you don't need prior experience, you don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to be genuinely called to this and ready to become a total birth nerd. If that's you, you belong here!

Realistically 2–6 hours depending on the week. There are module lessons, a live call, and your weekly assignment. I'm not going to tell you it's light — it's not, because it's real training. But it's also not designed to swallow your life. I built this knowing that most of you have a lot going on already!

Doula work isn't regulated in the US. There's no governing body handing out licenses, which means "accredited" is really just a word programs use to sound official. It doesn't mean the training is better. It just means someone paid an organization for a stamp.

So instead of chasing a stamp, I built something I actually believe in.

Holistic Doula School is twelve weeks of deep, comprehensive and applicable teaching, not a crash course. We go deep on the stuff the big programs barely touch: informed consent that's actually fully informed, postpartum care that doesn't stop once the born, real-life scenarios, herbs and nutrition, cultural competency, and yes, how to actually run this as a business that pays your bills.

You'll walk away as a Certified Holistic Doula, and more importantly, you'll walk away knowing your stuff. Not because a certificate says so, but because you put in the work and had someone in your corner supporting you through it.

I'll always tell you the truth about what certification does and doesn't mean in this field. You deserve more than a fancy logo on a piece of paper (which you’re still going to get, btw!)

Yup! You'll receive a certificate of completion from Holistic Doula School. We're not affiliated with DONA or CAPPA, and that's intentional. Those certifications aren't legally required to practice as a doula anywhere in the US, and many of the most respected doulas working today don't have them. What you'll walk away with is rigorous, comprehensive training and a real portfolio of work that shows clients you know what you're doing. (You can read more in the question above!)

All coaching calls are optional! That said, the live calls are genuinely where so much of the good stuff happens. The real-time scenarios, the discussion, the feedback. I'd encourage you to protect that time as much as you can.. but also, if you can't make it that is 100% okay. Ps- calls will likely be on a weekday morning :)

Yes. Full stop. Honestly some of the best doulas I know became doulas while they were knee-deep in the baby years, because you already get it in a way that no textbook can teach. We talk a lot in this program about building a practice that actually fits your life (on-call structure, sustainable scheduling, all of it.) You don't need to be in a different season! You just need a program that was built for the one you're in.

This is my favorite question to answer. YES! The whole point of the program is to get you ready. By the time we're done you'll have your pricing figured out, your contracts drafted, your services defined, and an actual plan for landing your first client. You don't need to be ready when you start. That's literally what the 12 weeks are for. And if you don't want to start then... you have lifetime access to this content, forever and ever..which mean when you're ready, it will be here!
